City Life

We are purchasing a building in our neighborhood to help us continue to reach kids in our neighborhood and grow the number of kids we can impact as well as start new programs. We are raising funds to help purchase the building and remodel it. If you would like to give to help us reach our goal of raising $200,000, you can donate here.

Or you can send a check in to:

Central Iowa YFC

With Central Iowa YFC as the pay to order name.

The purpose of City Life is to help young people to develop attitudes and behavior patterns that allow them to function more constructively in society. The City Life program emphasizes the following:
1) Teaching basic life skills.
2) Providing an opportunity for a relationship with a caring adult role model.
3) Promoting and developing positive self-image through Jesus Christ.
4) Creating opportunities for positive peer group experiences.
5) Sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

City Life meets students in their neighborhood and has a more holistic approach to ministry helping students not only spiritually, but also with educational success, economic literacy, civic literacy and basic health and safety needs that many of these teenagers need.  Our neighborhood that we are focusing on has the boundaries of Martin Luther King Blvd. to 6th St., and University Ave. to Hickman Rd.
